Just wondering... Twitter, Facebook, Goodreads and other mediums are used as tools to interest readers in the work generated by indie authors. But which, if any, are the most effective.
As Readers Who Are Not Authors. What about you? Where do you go to find books and new authors that may be of interest?
Goodreads is a site where readers go to discuss books. But it is not a place where authors are always received favorably, especially authors who use the medium to aggressively push their books. Those generating sufficient interest here are lucky, but it's all down to discovery.
That brings me back to Twitter and all the other similar mediums. They are all posting sites where authors write a short blurb and display a picture, generally of their book cover, often with testimonials. But as queried initially, are they effective in connecting with the target audience?
I would be interested in the opinions of anyone reading this.
